The work of many contemporary artists at present deals with the critique of media culture. Benish tries to go beyond this in her work. She believes that we should "capture what soul we have left: in this increasingly shallow and blind culture.... It is the "dichotomy of heaven and hell" that interests this artist and it is this healthy dichotomy that our culture seems to have lost."
